Sr. Grace Maguire of the Sisters of Providence of St. Vincent de Paul, died on February 16, 2009 in Edmonton, Alberta. Born in Enniskillen, Co. Fermanagh, Ireland, on April 22, 1923, Sister Grace is predeceased by her parents Francis and Rose (Burns) Maguire, her brothers, Rev. Charles Maguire, C.P., Jack, Kevin, Ephraim (Mickey) and Gabriel and her sister, Sister Kathleen Maguire, SP. Sister Grace is survived by her brother, Emmett of Creston, B.C., and her sisters, Josephine Hendrick and Sheila Ehman of Edmonton, Alberta, and Fanchea Kordyback of Ottawa, Ontario. Sister will be fondly remembered by her brother and sisters, her nieces, nephews, her many relatives, friends, and by the members of her religious community.
Resting at Providence Motherhouse, 1200 Princess St., Monday, February 23 from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. with the Vigil Service at 7:30 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be held in the Chapel of Mary Mother of Compassion, Providence Motherhouse on Tuesday, February 24 at 10:30 a.m. Rite of Committal St. MaryÂ’s Cemetery, Kingston.
