Stanley Harold Crawford 1919 - 2003 The death of Stanley Harold Crawford, husband of Rosella (Spence), of Killam Drive Moncton occurred at The Moncton Hospital on Sunday, August 3, 2003. Born May 11, 1919 in Murray Corner he was the son of the late Ernest and Ruth (Briggs) Crawford. Mr. Crawford retired from the Emergency Services of the Moncton Airport where he was a firefighter for many years. A member of Mountain View United Church he was also a member of Westmorland Lodge #44 F and AM as well as a member of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch #6 and the FSNA. A veteran of the Second World War he served overseas with a Heavy Artillery Division of the Canadian Army. Known for his keen sense of humour he will be sadly missed at his camp in the fall and at the beach in the summer. Married August 2, 1941, he is survived by his loving wife, Rosella (Spence); his daughters, Barbara Lindthaler (Michel) of Halifax, Carol Lynn Northrup of Truro, Heather J. Crawford of Halifax; his sons, Roger (Merlene) of Oromocto and Doug (Barbara Veitch) of Riverview; one brother, Norval (Jean) of Moncton; nine grandchildren; three great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Visiting with the family will be held at Fair Haven Funeral Home (852-3530) 1177 Salisbury Road, Wednesday, August 6th from 7 to 9 pm. Memorial service, conducted by Rev Andrew Richardson, will be held on Thursday, August 7th, 2003 at 2 pm in Fair Haven Funeral Home Chapel. Previous to which the Royal Canadian Legion will conduct a Legion Memorial Service in the chapel of the funeral home. A reception will be held in the Family Reception Room of Fair Haven Funeral Home following the services. Columbarium inurnment will take place in Fairhaven Memorial Gardens Serenity Niche. Memorials in Mr. Crawford's name may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or the memorial of the donor's choice.
