Loretta Melanson
Loretta Melanson Loretta Melanson, 80, of Manoire Notre-Dame, Moncton and formerly of Vail Street, Moncton passed away Sunday August 10, 2003 at the Dr. Georges-L. Dumont Hospital. Born November 8, 1922 in Moncton, she was the daughter of the late Arthur Melanson and the late Marie-Thérése (LeBlanc) Melanson. She worked with the T. Eaton Catalogue and Mail Order Dept. for 28 years, and retired with D.N.D. Supply Depot # 5, Moncton. She attended Notre-Dame-de-la-Paix Roman Catholic Church in Moncton, was an avid bowler, Blood Donor, member of the Golden Age Club and Knights of Columbus, Ladies Auxiliary council # 1310. She will be sadly missed by her five sisters, Lucie Ryan, Elisa Mainville (Paul), Freda Melanson, Hermance Melanson, all of Moncton and Anna LeBlanc of Dieppe, and by several nieces and nephews. Resting at Frenette Funeral Home, 88 Church Street, Moncton (858-1900) on Tuesday 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m., on Wednesday 9:30 a.m. until time of departure 10:10 a.m. The funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday August 13, 2003 at NotreDame-de-la-paix Roman Catholic Church, Moncton. Interment in Our Lady of Calvary Cemetery, Dieppe. At the request of the family, memorial donations to Dr. Georges-L.
