Shirley Bernice Snowdon 1933 - 2003 PORT ELGIN, N.B.- Shirley Bernice (Tower) Snowdon, age 69, of Port Elgin, N.B., passed away on Wednesday, August 20, 2003 at the Dr. Georges-L. Dumont Hospital, Moncton, N.B. Born in Rockport, N.B., on December 15, 1933, she was the daughter of the late Eugene and May (Briggs) Tower. Bernice was a wonderful woman who devoted her life to taking care of her family, who gave of herself with her whole heart to anyone who had the pleasure of meeting her. Bernice will be sadly missed by her husband, Carmen Snowdon of Port Elgin, N.B.; one daughter, Carmilita (Wilbur) Deman, of Port Elgin, N.B.; three sons, Douglas (Karen) Snowdon of Westcock, N.B., Charlie Snowdon of Port Elgin, N.B. and Frank (Mandy) Snowdon of Melrose, N.B.; surrogate daughter, Tracey Dugwright of Port Elgin, N.B.; two sisters, Pansy (Marvin) Goodwin of Hamilton, Ontario and Ivy Tower of Lynn, Massachusetts; two brothers, Gauis (Helen) Tower of Hamilton, Ontario and Eugene (Barb) Tower of Frosty Hollow, N.B.; 12 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by two daughters, Judith and Tammy; four sisters, Helen, Violet, May and Ethel; three brothers, Wilbur, George and Winston and two grandchildren, David and Judith. Arrangements are entrusted to Campbell's Funeral Home, 89 Bridge Street, Sackville, N.B. (364-8188). Cremation has taken place and there will be no visitation by request of the family. A memorial service will be held at Campbell's Funeral Home, Sackville, N.B. on Saturday, August 23, 2003 at 2 PM with Pastor John Kiehn officiating. Burial will follow in the Westcock Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations in Bernice's memory may be made to the Westcock Cemetery, Canadian Cancer Society or to the charity of ones choice.
