Kristia L. (Arsenault) Ward 1984 - 2003 Kristia L. (Arsenault) Ward, of Riverview, passed away surrounded by her family following a lengthy battle with cancer, at The Dr. G. L. Dumont Hospital on Wednesday, August 27, 2003 at the age of 18 years. Born in Moncton on September 13, 1984, she is the daughter of Harold and Karen (Smith) Arsenault. She and her husband Colin Ward were united in marriage on July 12, 2003. Kristia was a student at Riverview High School and a former cheerleader. She enjoyed camping, going to movies and spending time with her family, and visiting Anne's Acres Beach with Colin and his family. Besides her parents and husband she is survived by her maternal grandparents John and Judy Smith of Pine Glen, paternal grandmother Marjorie Phinney of Pine Glen, paternal grandfather Donald Caissie (Marilyn) of Silverton, BC, aunts and uncles Carol Clouston of Riverview, Sharon and Bruce Keirstead of Salisbury, Val LeBlanc of Moncton, Carl and Debbie Smith of Toronto, Phyllis and Mike Connors of Pine Glen and Danny Smith of Moncton, father and Mother-in-law Neil and Karen Ward of Sackville, sister-in-law Heather Stokes of Moncton and brothers-in-law Rodney Stokes of Sackville and Devin Ward of Sackville, niece Stephanie Stokes and nephew Justin Ward of Sackville, grandmothersin-law Madeline Ward and Doris Estabrooks both of Sackville. Also by Clarence and Jessie Wylie who were special people in Kristia's life, and Betsy Wylie who she thought of as a sister. Also, Kristia will be remembered by many friends and school mates. She was predeceased by her brother Ryan Arsenault in 1995, and uncle Graeme Clouston few days prior to her death. Resting at Riverview Funeral Home, 214 Pine Glen Rd. on Thursday August 28, 2003 from 2-4 & 7-9pm. The funeral service will be held at The Riverview Funeral Home Chapel on Friday, August 29, 2003 at 2 pm with Pastor Tim Guptil Officiating. Interment will be in Fair Haven Memorial Gardens. At Kristia's request, In lieu of flowers, donations made to The Childrens Wish Foundation, The Oncology Dept at the Dr. G. L. Dumont Hospital , The Ronald MacDonald House or The Kinsman House would be greatly appreciated by her family.
