Alphonse Poirier 1941-2003 ESCUMINAC, N.B. - Alphonse Poirier, husband of Irma Mazerolle from Escuminac, passed away at his home, August 27, 2003, at the age of 61. Born December 25, 1941, he was the son of the late Bruno Poirier and Catherine Mazerolle. Other than his wife he is survived by four daughters; Joanne (Jeff Tapley) from Fredericton, Monique (Conrad Gallant) from Cocagne, Ginette (Kevin Hallihan) from Bay -du-Vin, Rachelle (Peter Kieley) from Fredericton; eight sisters : Ida (Tom Taites) from Vancouver, Rolande Ross from Vancouver, Verna Poirier from Montréal, Aline Richard from Moncton, Jeanne Barlow from Vancouver, Lauriel Benoit from Montréal, Annette Poirier (Roger) from Fredericton; Monia Poirier from Shédiac; six brothers Albertin (Noreen) from Escuminac, Wilfred (Noëlla) from Baie-SteAnne, Roland (Jacinthe) from Baie-SteAnne, Gabriel (Vergine) from Escuminac; Gérald from Miramichi; Ronald (Mary) from Winnipeg; four grand-children; Shannon, Lucas, Megan and Hannah, and many nephews and nieces. The remains of Mr Poirier will be resting at the Parish slumber room in Baie-Ste-Anne from Saturday August 30, 2003. The funeral will be held at the Ste-Anne , RC Church in Baie-Ste-Anne on Monday September 1, 2003 at 11 am. Visiting hours will be this Saturday August 30, 2003 from 2 till 4 from 7 till 9, Sunday August 31, 2003 from 2 till 4 from 7 till 9, Monday September 1 st from 9am till the departure of the funeral.
