Edward A. Jeffries 1925-2003 The death of Edward A. Jeffries, of Deepwood Street Moncton husband of the late Helen (Derrien), occurred at the Moncton Hospital on Monday September 1, 2003. Born in St Catharine's Ontario November 18, 1925, he was the son of the late William and Anne (Noel) Jeffries. A veteran of the Second World War, he served overseas with the Merchant Navy and Marines. Following the war he served with the Canadian Armed Forces RCEME and the Blackwatch on peacekeeper missions in Egypt and Cyprus. He was a Past President of the Royal Canadian Legion Sunny Brae Branch #54 as well as a member of the Air Force Veterans and the Moncton Dart Club. He attended St. Michael's Catholic Church, Moncton. He is survived by his daughter Doris Mandy; three sons Michael (Mary Ann); Neil (Kathy) all of Moncton and Todd of Alberta. He is also survived by three sisters Doris Clements of P.E.I.; Lorraine MacIntyre of Cape Breton and Rosaline (Bob) St. Pierre of California; two brothers Michael (Helen) of Dartmouth and Malcolm Buddy of Yarmouth, NS, as well as 14 grand children and three great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents he was predeceased by his wife Helen (Derrien) in 1990; a daughter Linda Mary Lorraine Parker in 1992 and many brothers and sisters. Resting at Fair Haven Funeral Home (852-3530) 1177 Salisbury Road, Moncton with visiting hours at the funeral home on Wednesday, September 3 from 7 to 9 pm. The Royal Canadian Legion will conduct a Legion Memorial Service at the funeral home on Wednesday evening. The funeral mass will be celebrated Thursday September 4, 2003 at 10 am at St. Michael's Roman Catholic Church Masters Rd. Moncton.
