Emelia Poirier SHEDIAC BRIDGE, NB - Miss. Emelia Poirier, 89, of the Villa Providence, Shediac and formerly of Shediac Bridge passed away on Friday, September 19, 2003 at the Villa Providence. Born in Grande-Digue, April 16, 1914, she was the daughter of the late Paul Poirier and the late Emilienne LeBlanc. Prior to her retirement, she was employed with Dr. Georges -L. Dumont Regional Hospital as a R.N.A. for 25 years. She is survived by one sister Maria Poirier (late Léonce) of Shediac Bridge and several nephews and nieces. She was predeceased by two sisters, Flora (infant) and Délima Caissie, and five brothers, Joseph, Louis, Paul and infants Léandre, Alcide Poirier. Resting at Frenette Funeral Home Ltd., 396 Main St., Shediac (532-3297) with visitation on Friday from 7 to 9p.m. and Saturday from 10a.m. until time of departure at 10:40 a.m. The funeral mass will be held at 11a.m. on Saturday, September 20, 2003 at La Visitation Roman Catholic Church in GrandeDigue. Interment in the parish cemetery. Donations may be made to the donor's choice.
