Dr. Leslie McQuinn PENOBSQUIS, NB - Dr. Leslie E. McQuinn, DVM, of Penobsquis, passed away on September 18, 2003 at the age of 81. Born in Penobsquis, Les was the son of the late Heber and Marie (Branscombe) McQuinn and the cherished husband of the late Mary Alice (Atkinson) McQuinn who passed away on April 14, 2003. Les is survived by five children, Doug (Glenys) of Quispamsis, Ruth McQuinn of Saint John, Lorna Balemans (Bill) of Saint John, David (Colleen) of Picadilly, Rev. Don (Lois) of Outlook, Saskatchewan; his brother, Burton McQuinn (Jayne) of Penobsquis; his sister Pearl DeLong (Gordon) of Sussex Corner; his brother-in-law, Bruce Atkinson (Carolyn) and two sisters-in-law, Phyllis and Marjorie Atkinson all of Fredericton; 13 grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, as well as several nieces and nephews. Les was a retired Veterinarian and a member of St. Paul's United Church. Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Wallace Funeral Home, 34 Sunnyside Drive, Sussex, (506-433-1176), with visitation on Saturday 2-4, 7-9, Sunday 2-4, 7-9 pm.
