Edward J. Cormier SAN BERNARDINO, CA - Edward J. Cormier, 90, of San Bernardino, California, passed away September 19, 2003 at Jerry L. Pettis Memorial V.A. Medical Center. Born on December 26, 1912, St. Joseph, Westmorland County, New Brunswick, Canada, he was the son of the late Ferdinand and Christine Cormier. He was a retired employee of the Pasadena Unified School District of 19 years. He was a combat veteran of World War II, having served with the U.S. Army in France, Rhineland, Ardennes and Central Europe. He attended St. Anne Catholic Church. He is survived by his wife, Ida (LeBlanc) Cormier; a daughter, Francine (Cormier) Parker of Pine Mountain Club, CA; one son, Paul Cormier of San Bernardino; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his son, Victor Cormier; and brother, Frank Cormier; one adopted brother, Frederick (Freddie) Cormier, killed in combat during World War II and three; sisters, Eva Burgess (Edger), Ida LeBlanc (Emery) and Marie Arsenault (Wilfred). Visitation will be held Tuesday from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at Bobbitt Memorial Chapel, 1299 E. Highland Ave., San Bernardino, CA 92404. Graveside services will be held Wednesday, September 24, 2003 at 1:00, Staging Area #1, Riverside National Cemetery, 22495 Van Buren Blvd., Riverside, CA 92518.
