Marion Donegani 1922-2003 The death of Marion Donegani (Holsen) of Moncton occurred, following a brief illness, at the Moncton Hospital on Sunday September 21st, 2003. Born in Chipman, NB she was the daughter of the late James Wesley andClara (Stilwell) Holsen. Marion met and married her former husband in Canada during the war after which they moved to England where they lived for 18 years. Her desire to raise her family in Canada prompted their return in 1963. Marion was manager and buyer for the shoe department of JD Creaghan's Ltd until her retirement in the late 1980's. An avid bowler, Marion, enjoyed playing in both the Salisbury Mixed League and the Creaghan's League. She was very talented and enjoyed knitting, tapestry and crocheting, she was also a very passionate bingo player. Marion is survived by her children, Jean Patt (David) of Salisbury, Michael (Brenda) Donegani of Riverview, Douglas (Lucille) Donegani of Riverview, Caroll Donegani (Clyde Leighton) of Halifax, and Marilyn Cormier (Omer) of Riverview, 13 grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; her sister, Dora Cunningham; her brother, Douglas (Jean) Holsen, both of Moncton as well as several nieces and nephews. She is also survived by her close friends, Simone and Eleanor. In addition to her parents she was predeceased by her sisters, Edith White and Irma Perkins. Resting at Fair Haven Funeral Home (852-3530), 1177 Salisbury Road, MONCTON, with visitation Tuesday September 23 from 2 to 4pm and 7 to 9pm. Funeral service conducted by Captain Sandra Stokes of the Moncton Salvation Army, will be in the Chapel of Fair Haven Funeral Home Wednesday September 24 at 11 am. With a gathering of family and friends in the family reception room of the funeral home following the service. Interment will be in Fairhaven Memorial Gardens.
