Joseph Vincent Basque FREDERICTON, NB - The death of Vincent Basque, 73, occurred on Monday, September 22, at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Hospital in Fredericton. Born in Tracadie, NB, he was the son of the late Isaie and Cesaree (Thibodeau) Basque. Vincent was a registered nursing assistant and worked throughout the province in Saint John, Moncton, and Edmundston. Vincent is survived by three daughters, Ginette (Doug) Meating of Fredericton, Gisele Basque of Campbellton, and Stella Basque of Moncton; one brother, Hormisdas (Bertha) of Saint John; three sisters, Rosilda (Edward) Breault of Neguac, Aldora Hampton of Point LePreau, and Geraldine Hill of Madison, Ohio; four grandchildren, Jesse, Nicholas, Benjamin, and Maggie Meating; and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents; twin infant daughters, Carol and Caroline; five brothers, Gerald, Isaie, Leonard, Mathias, and Stanislas; two sisters, Alma Paulin and infant sister Rosilda Basque. The family will receive visitors at River Valley Funeral Services, 50 Avonlea Court, Fredericton, (455-4267) on Thursday, September 25, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 PM. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Ste-Anne-DesPays-Bas Roman Catholic Church on Friday, September 26, 2003 at 12PM with Rev. Emery Brien as celebrant, assisted by Rev. Stanislas Paulin. Interment will take place in St. Anthony's Roman Catholic Cemetery. A reception will be held in the church following the interment.
