Dora Caroline Gates Dora Caroline Gates, 69, of Weldon passed away on September 24, 2003 on arrival at the Moncton City Hospital after a lengthy illness. Dora was born in Point Wolfe, NB, on April 18, 1934, the daughter of the late Clarence and Daisy (Seamons) Dixon. Dora was a housewife and in her earlier years enjoyed being a crossing guard. She was a clock collector and loved all kinds of clocks. However, the most important thing in her life was her family. Teasing her grandchildren and telling jokes were ways she will be remembered. She was known for her great sense of humor, her giving manor and her kindness to all. She was a very special person who will be missed by everyone who knew her. She will be deeply missed by her husband Allen Gates of Weldon; two daughters, Maria Northrup (Glen) of Hillsborough, Laura Miller of Moncton; three sons John Koidhis (Anne) of Ottawa,Ont., Tom Koidhis (Mary) of Toronto,Ont., Paul Koidhis (Antonia) of Barrie, Ont.; one sister Norma Allen of Parsborough, NS; two brothers Melvin Dixon (Marion) of Alma, Marven Dixon (Ruby) of Oshawa, Ont.; brother-in-law Garfield Brewster of Hillsborough; fourteen precious grandchildren Tina, Emily, Anna, Kimberly (Tim), Darryl (Sarah), T.J., Jay, Jessica, Thomsa, Corey, Jennifer, Jasmine, Johnny and Andrew; three great grandchildren Zachary, Anthony and K.C.; she will also be missed by several nieces and nephews. Besides her parents she was predeceased by her first husband John Koidhis; sisters Alice and Barbara; brothers Walter, Junior, Gerald, Howard and Rutherford. She will be resting at the Albert County Funeral Home, Hopewell Cape, with visitation on Thursday evening from 7-9pm. The funeral service will be held at the Albert County Funeral Home on Friday, September 26, 2003 at 2pm with Pastor Leonard Geldart Officiating. Internment will be held in the Grey's Island Cemetery, Hillsborough. Following the internment in Grey's Island Cemetery the family will be meeting with relatives and friends for further fellowship and sharing of memories back at the funeral home. Donations to the NB Heart & Stroke Foundation or to the charity of the donor's choice would be appreciated by the family.
