Frederick 'Fred' Comeau July 10, 1918 - September 26, 2003 IRISHTOWN, NB - Frederick 'Fred' Comeau, 85, of Irishtown, passed away Saturday, September 26, 2003 at the Dr. Georges-L. Dumont Hospital following a lengthy illness. Born July 10, 1918 in Saint-Louis, he was the son of the late Lucien, and Julienne (Tremblay) Comeau. He was a retired auto mechanic, and attended St. Lawrence O' Toole Roman Catholic Church, Irishtown. He is survived by his wife, Jeannine Goguen; his five children, Alice Arsenault (Alvin), Dorina Collette (Joe), Éverard (Francine), Irenée (Jeanne), and David Comeau all of Bouctouche; two sisters, Marie Vella (Johnny) of Toronto, Emma Leach of Detroit; three brothers, John (Régina), Lucien (Jeannine), and Émile (Laudia) all of Saint-Louis; 14 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; four great-great-children; several nieces, and nephews. He is predeceased by his former wife, Edith (Vautour); a sister, Marguerite Robichaud; brothers, David, Antoine, and Albert. Remains resting at Frenette Funeral Home, 88 Church Street, Moncton (8581900). Visiting hours Sunday from 2-4 & 7-9 PM, Monday from 1 PM until time of departure (1:40). The funeral Mass will be held at 2 PM Monday, September 29, 2003 at St. Lawrence O'Toole Roman Catholic Church, Irishtown. Interment will be in the parish cemetery.
