Audrey Dale Gallombardo TOWN OF NORWAY, NY - Audrey Dale Gallombardo, 80, of Gould Road, passed away peacefully in her home on September 28, 2003, after a long illness. Mrs. Gallombardo was born in Gagetown, New Brunswick, Canada on January 3, 1923, a daughter of the late Frederick and Beatrice (McGowan) Dale. She was a graduate of Victoria Public Hospital School of Nursing in Fredericton, New Brunswick. Her marriage to Angelo A. Gallombardo took place on August 14, 1958 in Moncton, New Brunswick. The couple moved to their home on Gould Road in 1975. Audrey had worked as a registered nurse at Darrow School in New Lebanon, NY, Albany Medical Center, Albany, NY, Little Falls Hospital, Little Falls, NY and St. Luke's Memorial Hospital, New Hartford, NY. She always had a kind word to say about everyone and will be remembered for the deep compassion in her heart and the twinkle in her blue eyes. Survivors besides her husband of 45 years, Angelo includes one daughter, Angela Gallombardo of New York City; and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her son, Peter, on October 20, 1995. Friends are invited to attend a graveside service at the Newport Cemetery, Main Street, Newport, NY on Saturday, October 11, 2003 at 1:00 pm. There are no calling hours.
