Marie Roy MIRAMICHI, NB - The death of Mrs. Marie Roy, wife of the late Tom Roy, of David St., Miramichi, NB occurred on Tuesday, September 30, 2003 at the Miramichi Regional Hospital at the age of 66. Born in Newcastle, NB, she was the daughter of Ina (Geikie) Walsh and the late George Walsh. Marie was a member of St. James and St. John United Church and following the death of her husband she carried on the family business of Tom Roy Insurance until December 2000. Besides her mother Ina, she is survived by three sons, Darrell (Bonnie) of Newcastle, NB, Gary (Nancy) of Newcastle, NB, Danny of Sevogle, NB; two daughters, Patti Tozer (Tal) of Rothesay, NB, Sandra Estey (David) of Newcastle, NB; two brothers, George (Anne Marie) of Grand Falls, NB, Bob (Valorie) of Douglastown, NB; one brother-in-law, William (Billy) Jr. Daley of Barnaby River, NB; six grandchildren, Jeff and Tyler, Roy, Matthew and Nick Estey, Tyson and Ashley Tozer; two step grandchildren, Brad and Allison Gallant; and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by one brother Gary. The family will receive visitors at Bell's Funeral Home on Thursday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 PM. The funeral service will be held from St. James and St. John United Church on Friday, October 3, 2003 at 2 PM with Rev. Sandrabelle Rogers officiating. Burial will follow in the Miramichi Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or to the New Brunswick Heart and Stroke Foundation.
