Valerie J. Payne Valerie J. Payne, 93, of Spencers Memorial Home and formerly of Sherrard Avenue, Moncton passed away at her residence on Sunday, October 5, 2003. Born in Dawson Settlement, daughter of the late J. Hazen and Dora (Forsythe) Jonah. Valerie was a member of West Lane United Baptist Church and the W.M.S. Valerie will be sadly missed by her special nieces, Loris Miller (Barry), Hanwell, Sylvia Morrison, Fredericton; nephews, Fred Steeves (Annie), Moncton; Herman Jonah (Betty), Dawson Settlement. Valerie was the last surviving member of her immediate family. Predeceased by her husband, Abnar J. Payne (1948); sisters, Alfretta, Annie, Grace, Martha, Lena, Laura, Janette; brothers, Isaiah, Aubdur, Archie, Charles, Orland; special friend, Mary Sinclair. Resting at Ferguson Knowles Funeral Home, 1657 Mountain Road, Moncton (858-1995) on Tuesday, October 6, 2003, 12:30pm until the time of the Funeral Service at 1:30pm with Rev. John Holt officiating.
