William (Bill) P. Parsons

William (Bill) P. Parsons 1940-2003 William P. Parsons, 63, of Waterside passed away on October 6, 2003 at the Moncton City Hospital after a lengthy and courageous battle with cancer. Bill was born in Alma on February 24, 1940 the son of the late Thomas and Irene (Hopper) Parsons. He was a retired Engineer and worked with School District 2 for over 30 years. Bill loved the outdoors and was an avid fisherman and enjoyed bird hunting. He will be deeply missed by his loving wife Viola Parsons of Waterside; sons Steven Parsons (Ann) of Grand Mannan, Bradley Parsons, Billy Parsons, Scott Parsons (Loretta) and David Parsons (Lisa) all of Ontario; stepchildren Terry LeBlanc (Carol) , Linda Williams (Vic), Cecile LeBlanc (Hector), Ginette Leger (Mike) all of Moncton, Annette Ykema (Willie) of Huntingdon, Quebec, Paul LeBlanc (Carolyn) of Trenton, Ont.; Brother Allan Parsons (Marion) of Alma; sisters Judy Cohen (Harvey "Mitch") of Moncton, Kay Wiseman (Jim) of Fredericton ; sister in-laws Jackie Parsons of B.C., Joyce Parsons of Boundry Creek; special aunt Reta Hopper of Alma; he will also be sadly missed by several grandchildren and great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. Besides his parents he was predeceased by his step-dad Aubrey Keirstead; a son Darren; brothers Clifford and Theodore (Ted) ; sister Shirley Best (Earl). Honoring Bills own wishes there will be no visitation. A memorial service will be held in his memory at the Albert County Funeral Home on Thursday, October 9, 2003 at 2pm with Rev. Val Chongva officiating. Donations to the Canadian Cancer Society would be greatly appreciated by the family.
