It is with sadness but peace that the family announces the passing of Jean Grant on Feb. 21, 2009, at the Dr. Chalmers Regional Hospital, Fredericton, N.B.
Born in Donkin, N.S., she was the daughter of the late Jacob and Christine (Wood) Snow. Jean was a member of the United Church of Canada.
Survived by her husband, Donald; children, Laura Edwards (Lloyd), Lincoln, Donna Grant (Bob), Fredericton, William L. Grant (Gail), Niton, Alta., R. Keith Grant (Maria), London, Ont., and Jacqueline P. Grant (Chris), Brampton, Ont.; sister, Estelle Howie, Donkin, N.S.; seven grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
Predeceased by brothers, Alex, Adam, Jim, Andrew, Ralph, Tom, William, Albert, Herbie, and Robert, sisters, Marina (Midgie) and Christine, grandson, Chris Weese, and infant son, Donald Wilfred.
Although there will be no visitation, a funeral service will be held from Bishop’s Funeral Home Chapel on Tuesday, Feb. 24 at 10:30 a.m. with Rev. H. Gil MacKenzie officiating. Interment in Donkin, N.S. at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a charity of the donor’s choice.
