Albenie "Ben" J. Richard 1904 - 2003 Ben Richard, of Moncton, NB passed away at The Moncton Hospital on Thursday, October 9, 2003 at the age of 99 years. Born in St. Norbert, NB on January 21, 1904 he was the son of the late Maxime and Basilice (Maillet). He was a member of Christ Roi Roman Catholic Church. He retired in 1965 from The CKCW Radio and Television Network. Ben was an avid Harley Davidson fan, he most recently received an award for being a long time #1 customer of Harley Davidson. He is survived by daughters, Patricia (Andrew) Devine, Bernadette (Donald) Doiron, and Anne-Marie (Robert) Crossman all of Moncton, NB; sister, Rita Boudreau of Moncton; seven grandchildren, Richard and David Devine, Michael and Maurice Doiron, Craig Crossman, Kim Bard, and Kathy Wilson; and six great- grandchildren, Melissa and Andrew Devine, Amanda and Ayrek Crossman, Jake Bard, and Tylor Wilson. Besides his parents he was predeceased by his wife, Marguerite Melanson in 1997; sisters, Colombe Munro and Kate LeBlanc, and brother, Arcade "Edgar". Resting at Tuttle Bros. Funeral Home, 171 Lutz St. on Monday, October 13, 2003 from 2:00-4:00pm and 7:00-9:00pm. The funeral Mass will be held at Christ Roi Roman Catholic Church on Tuesday, October 14, 2003 at 11:00am. Interment will be in Our Lady of Calvary Roman Catholic Cemetery. Donations made to The Friends of The Moncton Hospital, Palliative care unit or to The memorial of the donors choice would be appreciated by the family.
