John Peter Marmulak
John Peter Marmulak 1965 - 2003 SYDNEY, NS - Comforted by his loving family, John Peter passed away peacefully and courageously Thursday morning, October 16, 2003 at the Cape Breton Regional Hospital, following a battle with cancer. Born in Sydney, John Peter was the son of Betty Marmulak-Kerr and the late Walter P. Marmulak and stepfather John Kerr, Coxheath. John Peter and his wife, Monique M. (Melanson) of nine years, had a wonderful marriage with three beautiful children, Justin (6 1/2), Chantelle (4) and Victoria (19 months). John Peter was the youngest of five children. Sisters and brother are Janet (Dr. Peter) Marmulak-White, Ohio, USA; Elaine (Paul) Slaney, Cole Harbour, NS; Noreen (Rob) MacGregor, Kentville, NS; Philip (Cathy) Marmulak, Dartmouth, NS, and stepsister, Sharon Kerr and stepbrother, the late Merrill Kerr, both of Sydney. A proud uncle of several nieces and nephews, John will be deeply missed by Gregory and Janine Marmulak, Owen and Corey MacGregor, Deanna and Brendon Slaney, Nadine and Gillian Marmulak and Jessica and Jocelyn Berube. The Melanson family will always cherish the fond memories of John as a loving and caring husband and father. You will always be missed - Aurele and Gloria Melanson, Cheryl and Charlie Berube and girls, Moncton, NB. Visitation of the late Mr. Marmulak will be held Friday, October 17 from 2 - 4 and 7 - 9 pm at T.W. Curry Parkview Chapel, George Street, Sydney. A funeral mass will be celebrated on Saturday at 11 am at Our Lady of Fatima Parish, Sydney River with Fr. Norman MacPhee and Fr. Roman Dusanowskyj officiating. Interment in Forest Haven Memorial Gardens.
