(nee Scurrey) June 12, 1924 - July 31, 2008. It is with great sadness that I announce the passing of my beloved mother in Penticton, B.C. Predeceased by her husband Martin, sisters: Helen and Mary; brothers: Francis, David and Jack; parents Francis and Bridgid Scurrey; parents-in-law: Charles and Lucy Barron. Left to mourn and enjoy our memories of her are daughter Elizabeth (Don), Penticton, B.C.; sister Betty Holl-Juaire, St. Paul, Minnesota, USA; nephew John Scurrey with whom she shared a special bond, numerous nieces, nephews and her special feline friends Dora and Scooter. She will be sadly missed by all whose lives she has touched with her love and sense of humor. Cremation has taken place in Penticton, B.C. Friends may visit the family at Caul's Funeral Home, LeMarchant Road on Monday, August 11, 2008 from 12 noon - 9 p.m. Mass of the Christian Burial will take place at the Basilica of St. John the Baptist on Tuesday, August 12, 2008 at 9:30 a.m. Interment will follow at Mount Carmel Cemetery where she will be laid to rest with dad. Flowers gratefully accepted or donations in mom's memory can be made to Heart & Stroke Foundation or Daffodil Place. Family and friends are invited to attend a reception, 12 noon on Tuesday, August 12 at the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch 56, Pleasantville.
