JANET GALLANT SHEDIAC CAPE, NB - Our loving Creator called Janet home on October 20, 2003. Janet Gallant, 74, wife of Al Gallant of Shediac Cape passed away suddenly on Monday, October 20, 2003 at the Dr. Georges-L. Dumont Hospital, Moncton. Born July 13, 1929 in Alexandria, Ontario on the 4th of Kenyon, she was the daughter of the late John C. Gauthier and the late Ethel McMahon. Janet will be sadly missed by her husband Al Gallant of 46 years and her children Beth (Frank Hacking) of Burlington, ON., John (Susan Coady) of Raleigh, N.C., Ann-Marie (Tom Delworth) of Yardley, Penn., her sisters, Frances Kutschke of Ottawa, ON. and Sister Mary of Our Lady's Missionaries of Toronto, ON. In addition, Cookie Granny will also be missed by her seven grandchildren, Sarah and Paul Hacking, Madeline, Allison and Rachel Gallant, and Natalie and Andy Delworth, and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her sister Joan McDonald in September 2002. A graduate of St. Joseph's Hospital in Toronto, people in Alexandria/Cornwall, Toronto, ON., Calgary, AB., California, New York and Pennsylvania, benefited from her love and care. During retirement, she continued to love and care for others as a Hospice volunteer in Shediac, New Brunswick. Resting at Frenette Funeral Home Ltd., 396 Main St., Shediac (532-3297) with visitation on Wednesday from 2 to 4p.m. and 7 to 9p.m. and Thursday from 1p.m. until time of departure at 1:50p.m.The funeral mass will be held at 2p.m. on Thursday, October 23, 2003 at Our Lady of Mercy R.C. Church in Pointe-du-Chne. Interment in Our Lady of Calvary R.C. Cemetery, Dieppe. In her memory, donations to Hospice Shediac Inc., P.O. Box 8962, Shediac, N.B.
