Abbe Bourgeois 1940 - 2003 Abbe Bourgeois, 62, of Riverview, passed away on Tuesday, October 28, 2003 at The Moncton Hospital. Born in Memramcook, he was the son of Alderice and Elodie (née LeBlanc) Bourgeois. Mr. Bourgeois was retired from Canada Post, a member of the Knights of Columbus, Council #9270 and a parishioner of Immaculate Heart of Mary Roman Catholic Church, Riverview, NB. Besides his parents, of Memramcook, Abbe is survived by his wife, Rachel (née Gauvin); one sister, Eleanor (Norbert) Dupuis of Memramcook, as well as several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his son, Denis in 1999 and by a brother, Patrick in 1998. Visitation will be held from the Chartersville Funeral Home, 363 Amirault Street, Dieppe, 857-1901, on Friday, October 31, 2003 from 2 to 4pm and 7 to 9 pm and on Saturday from 10:00 am until time of departure. Funeral mass will be celebrated from Immaculate Heart of Mary Roman Catholic Church (Riverview) on Saturday, November 1, 2003 at 11 am. Interment in Our Lady of Calvary Cemetery, Dieppe, NB. Parish prayers and sharing of memories of Abbe will be held at the funeral home on Friday evening at 8:30. Donations to the Friends of The Moncton Hospital Foundation or the NB Heart & Stroke Foundation would be appreciated by the family.
