C. Ralph Trenholm FORT LAWRENCE, NS - C. Ralph Trenholm, age 88, of Fort Lawrence, N.S. passed away Thursday, October 30, 2003 at Cumberland Regional Health Care Center, Upper Nappan, N.S. surrounded by his family. Born in Fort Lawrence, he was a son of the late Charles and Blanche (Smith) Trenholm. Ralph was a farmer all his life, he took over his grandfather's farm in Fort Lawrence where he and his wife lived all their married life and raised their family. Ralph was well known for his cattle showmanship in the local area and as far away as the CN Exhibition in Toronto. He and his wife delivered the rural mail in Fort Lawrence for 36 years. Ralph is survived by four daughters, Mary ( Elmore) Gilroy of Fort Lawrence, Pat (Carl) MacEachern of Little Forks, Pauline Trenholm and Joyce Trenholm of Moncton, N.B.; one son, David (Donna) Trenholm of Fort Lawrence; one sister, Eileen Wright of Penticton, B.C.; two brothers, Ivan Trenholm of Amherst and Norman (Katherine) Trenholm of Kelowna, B.C.; nine grandchildren, Kathy, Rick, Charlene, Sherry, Troy, Tanya, Vernon, Alisha and Natasha; three great grandchildren, Hilary, Stephanie and Laine Marie; and several nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by his wife, the former Gladys Atkinson; son, Winston in infancy; grandson, Randy in infancy. His remains are resting at Campbell's Funeral Home, 98 Church St., Amherst with visitation on Saturday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral service will be held on Sunday at 2 p.m. from Campbell's Chapel with Rev. Allan Griffin officiating. Interment will take place in the Fort Lawrence Cemetery.
