Michael G. Melanson The death of Michael G. Melanson of Fieldcrest Drive, Moncton, occurred unexpectedly at the George Dumont Hospital, Moncton, on Monday, November 3, 2003, following a heart attack. Mr. Melanson was born in Saint John, a son of C. Marie (Ward) Melanson of Saint John, and the late Godfrey J. Melanson. He was employed with Rallye Motors as Sales Manager. He had enjoyed outdoor activities with his sons. Besides his mother, he is survived by three sons, Michael P., Peter W., and Lucas A.; and their mother, Margaret (Sharkey) Melanson; his brothers, Ward, Kevin, and Carl; and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a brother, Peter. Resting at Fitzpatrick's Funeral Home, 100 Waterloo Street, Saint John, (506-634-1965) with visiting on Wednesday from 7 to 9 pm. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church, Rothesay, on Thursday afternoon at two o'clock. Following cremation, interment will take place in St. Joseph's Cemetery.
