Margaret Maietta (Mitzi) Sugden LOWER NEW
Margaret Maietta (Mitzi) Sugden LOWER NEW CASTLE, NB - Margaret Maietta (Mitzi) Sugden (Nee) Creamer of Lower Newcastle, New Brunswick, Born 15 June 1933, and passed from Life to Life November 3, 2003, surrounded by her loving Family at the Miramichi Regional 7 Hospital Palliative Care Unit, following a lengthy and courageous battle with cancer. Predeceased by her Father Stanley, she is survived by her mother Claire, currently resident at Mount St. Joseph, by her loving and devoted husband Richard, by her sisters, Elsie (Jack) Innes, Anne (Elmer) Smith, Special Cousins Eileen Washburn and Eugene Breau. Mitzi had a huge faith during her mortal life, giving us all something to look up to, sometimes buoying some of her family members and friends perhaps not sharing her depth of faith, with her kindness, her compassion, and her spirit. She was devoted to and during her illness strengthened by St. Theresa the Little Flower, receiving many signs. It is without doubt that she is now working in God's heavenly garden (no snakes) and helping St. Theresa. She had a great interest in and facility for art, painting-oil or watercolor, in crafts, and flowers gardening creating many things of beauty to bring joy to people. Mitzi's last words (and she loved to have the last word) to us left behind to grieve are "Stand not at the foot my grave and weep, I did not die-I am NOT there!" There follows a beautiful poem dearly loved by Mitzi. It is her legacy. Margaret (Mitzi) Sugden is resting at Davidson's Funeral Home, 597 Old King George Hwy, Miramichi with visitation Thursday, November 6 from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9. Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Friday at 11 a.m. from St Peter and St Paul Roman Catholic Church, Bartibog, NB, with Father Walter Lynch officiating. Burial to follow in the family plot of the church cemetery. At the request of the family donations to Auberge Monseignor Henri Cormier Lodge at George Dumont Hospital would be appreciated. Arrangements in care of Davidson's Funeral Home (506-622-7464)
