Soeur Edna Gallant s.p. 1912-2003 MONTREAL, PQ - The death of Sr. Edna Gallant, s.p. of Montreal occurred at Accueil Notre-Dame on Friday, October 17, 2003. Born in Notre-Dame-de-Kent, she was the daughter of the late Olivier and Adèle (Goguen). She is fondly remembered as a dedicated and caring nurse who worked in several Canadian and American hospitals. This year, she celebrated 70 years in the religious order of Soeurs de la Providence. She is survived by several nieces and nephews and was the last surviving member of her immediate family. She was predeceased by one sister, Lina Goguen (Pierre) and five brothers, Alfred, Philippe, Ernest, Clarence and Auguste. Funeral mass was held on October 21, 2003. Internment in Repos StFrançois d'Assise, 6893 rue Sherbrooke Est in Monctreal.
