Ardella P. Wortman SALISBURY, NB - Ardella Pearl Wortman, 97, of Leblanc's Special Care Home, Salisbury and formerly The Lions Villa, Salisbury passed away Wednesday November 5, 2003 at the Moncton Hospital. Born at Salisbury she was a daughter of the late Sylvester and Mary (Tait) Ward. In her early working years Ardella worked at the Marvens Biscuit Co. in Moncton. She was a longtime member of the Boundary Creek United Baptist Church and the Women's Missionary Society of the Church and attended the Wheaton Settlement Baptist Church. She was a member of the Boundary Creek Women's Institute, The Salisbury Golden Age Club and The Monday Morning Merry Makers. She will be sadly missed by her children Elva MacDonald of Brockville On., Vernon (Carmon) of Riverview, Malcolm (Joyce) and Cecil (Elaine) of Boundary Creek; sisters Verna Trecartin and Ruby Day of Saint John; 12 grandchildren and several great and great great grandchildren; nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her husband Ross R. (1984); a son Donald; sisters Viva Carson, Hazel O'Brien, Jessie Burnett; brothers Cecil, Clarence, George, Charles and Theodore Ward. Resting at the Salisbury Funeral Home , 3350 Salisbury Road (3724800) with visiting hours Saturday 2-4 and 7-9 p.m.. The Funeral will be held from the Funeral Home Chapel on Sunday Nov. 9 at 2 p.m. with Pastor Lloyd O'Blenes officiating. Interment at Pine Hill Cemetery, Salisbury. If so desired memorials to Pine Hill Cemetery Fund, Wheaton Settlement Baptist Church Building Fund or a charity of choice would be appreciated by the family. www.keirsteads.ca
