Arthur G. Currie SALISBURY, NB - Arthur Gordon Currie , 81, of Salisbury passed away Thursday November 6, 2003 at the Moncton Hospital. Born at Woodstock he was a son of the late Robert E. and Grace (Williams ) Currie. Arthur was a Veteran of the Second World War having served with the RCAF in Continental Europe and Africa as a wireless operator. He retired from the Federal Government as a Adjudicator with the Employment Insurance Department. He was a member of The Salisbury United Church, a life member of the Riverview Veteran's Association, a member of the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch # 31, Salisbury and the Senior Hamm Radio Operator's Club (VE1HW). Survived by his beloved wife of 46 years Jean (Ash); daughter Kimberly Leffley (Terry) of Salisbury; cherished granddaughters, Kristen and Holly Leffley; a dear sister Muriel Cluff of Woodstock and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a daughter Linda Lee Currie (1974) and brothers Robert and Ralph Currie. The family will receive relatives and friends at the Salisbury Funeral Home, 3350 Salisbury Road (372-4800) on Sunday evening 7 to 9 p.m. The Riverview Veteran's Association will conduct a memorial tribute , Sunday at 7 p.m. at the Funeral Home. The Funeral will be held from the Funeral Home Chapel on Monday November 10 at 1:30 p.m. with Rev. K. Zwicker officiating. Interment at Fairhaven Cemetery, Moncton. If so desired memorials to the Friends of the Moncton Hospital or a charity of the donor's choice may be made in Arthur's memory.
