Eleanor Geikie SOUTH NELSON, NB - The death of Eleanor Joyce (McGill) (Fawcett) Geikie wife of Byron Geikie of Route 118, South Nelson, NB. occurred at the Miramichi Regional Hospital on Thursday November 6, 2003 at the age of 66. Born in Tracy NB, Eleanor is the daughter of Hugh and Grace (Mullin) McGill. Eleanor grew up in East Saint John and attended Grammar School Simonds High. She was employed with NBTel from 1953-1961. She took time off in the work force to stay home to raise her family and then returned to the work force in 1972 and retired as Deli Manager of Sobey's. She leaves behind a loving, caring, and best friend, her husband, Byron and their little dog companion, Precious. Two daughters, Allyson (Gordon Beauchamp) of Woodstock, ON and SherylLea; two sons, Peter Fawcett and Hugh Fawcett (April) all of Woodstock, ON; one sister, Hazel (Steve Gaudet) of Saint John, NB; six grandchildren, Marcus, Adam, Ashely, Sabrina, Malisa and Robert and one niece, Heather (Donnie White) and children and nephew John (Kelly) Holland and children. Predeceased by her brother, Harris Hugh McGill (1942). Family will receive visitors and friend at Bell's Funeral Home, on Sunday 2 to 4 and 7 to 9. Funeral service will be held from the H. Sterling Bell Memorial Chapel on Monday, November 10, 2003 at 11 A.M. with Rev. Richard Steeves officiating. Burial will take place in the Moorefield Cemetery at a later date.
