Rita Poirier SHEDIAC BRIDGE, NB - Rita Poirier, 79, of Shediac Bridge, passed away Friday, November 7, 2003 at the Dr. Georges-L. Dumont Hospital. Born February 4, 1924 in Shediac Bridge, she was the daughter of the late Joseph, and Lina (Richard) Gallant. She is survived by a daughter, Marthe Hickey (late Patrick) of Shediac Bridge; four sons, Réginald (Pauline) of Dieppe, Jean-Bertin (Theresa), Antoine (Kelly), and Maurice (Gilberte) all of Shediac Bridge; three sisters, Alice Fougere (Gérard) of Shediac Bridge, Della Chicoine of Montréal, Jeanne Fougere of Shediac; two daughters-in-law, Yolande Poirier of Moncton, Alvida Poirier of Richiboucto; 12 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren. She is predeceased by three sons, Bertin, Bernard, and Benoit; her former husband, René Poirier; two sisters, Clarinda, and Germaine; also five brothers, Zenon, Hervé, Yvon, David, and Gérard. Remains resting at Frenette Funeral Home, 396 Main Street, Shediac (5323297). Visiting hours Sunday from 7-9 PM, Monday from 2-4 & 7-9 PM, Tuesday from 12:30 until time of departure.
