Hugh Johnstone Russell MOUNT SAINT JOSEPH, NB - The death of Hugh Johnstone Russell husband of the late Barbara (Roy) Russell of Mount Saint Joseph and formerly of Ideal Court, Miramichi, NB occurred at the Mount Saint Joseph Nursing Home on Monday November 10, 2003 at the age of 70. Hugh was the son of the late Ellis and Adavilla (Johnstone) Russell. He is retired from Heath Steele Mines as a Mine Superintendent, member of St. Mary's Roman Catholic Church. Hugh is survived by six daughters, Kim Matchett of South Esk, NB, Deborah (Mrs. Bruce Anderson) of Miramichi, NB, Susan (Mrs. Allan Lynch) of South Nelson, NB, Fay ( Mrs. Gerald Reagan ) of Miramichi NB, Sandra (Mrs. David Hubbard ) Strathadam, NB, and Darla Russell (Bruce Williams ) of Miramichi, NB; one son, Todd (Cynthia) of Miramichi, NB; five sisters, Vera Hanscomb of Moncton, NB, Treva Jardine, Bernice Stewart and Alma Vautour all of Miramichi, NB, and Evelyn O'Reilly of Halifax, NS; 14 grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by one son, Glen; three sisters, Mavia Weimerslage, Jessie Smith, and Edith Wheeler and two brothers, Ellis and Strafford. Visitation will be held at Bell's Funeral Home on Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, November 12, 2003 at 11 am from St Mary's Roman Catholic Church. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
