Elleta M. O'Blenis 1913 - 2003 Elleta M. O'Blenis, 90, of Zack Rd. Moncton, passed away at her residence on Wednesday, November 19, 2003. Born in Pollett River, NB on September 14, 1913, she was the daughter of the late Elmer H. and Maude (Wood) Kay. A homemaker and animal lover, Elleta and her late husband Fred owned and operated O'Blenis Stables. Her interests include gardening, being with her family and caring for her home. She was also a member of the Horse Trotting Association. She is survived by daughters, Edris and her husband Jamie Colpitts, Lola MacKendrick, and Kay and her husband Al Smith, all of Moncton; several grandchildren, great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild; also by nieces and nephews. Besides her parents she was predeceased by her husband Fred D. O'Blenis in 1978; by a daughter Shirley Steeves; three sisters, Alma Kyle, Laura McFarland and Bernice Thorne; and by two brothers, Eldon and Raleigh Kay. A Private Family Service will be held at Fairhaven Memorial Gardens Cemetery, Moncton, NB.
