A. K. (Ken) McKnight 1919 - 2003 With deep sadness, the family regretfully announces the sudden passing of Ken McKnight on Thursday, November 27, 2003. Born in Lower Millstream, NB, on November 12, 1919, he was the son of the late Joseph and Sadie (McAuley) McKnight. A veteran of the second World War, he served overseas with the Royal Canadian Army and retired as a fire officer with the Ministry of Transport. He was a member of West Lane United Baptist Church, and an avid supporter of the Moncton Mets and the Moncton Wild Cats. He is survived by his wife of over 59 years, Isabel; his daughter Sandra Cameron (Bob); sons, Joe (Pierette), Jim (Carol); grandchildren, Wendy, Kim, Scott, Stephanie, Jessica, David, Julia; as well as six great-grandchildren; his sister Helen Shepperd (Roy); brother Bill (Elsie) as well as many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his brother Don and a sister Evelyn Pollock. By personal request there will be no visitation prior to the funeral service to be held on Monday, December 1, at 2 p.m. in the chapel of Fair Haven Funeral Home, Pastor Scott Ryder officiating. A reception for Ken's family and friends will follow in the Garden View reception room. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Friends of the Moncton Hospital Foundation would be appreciated.
