Seaman Lyman Silliker MIRAMICHI, NB - The death of Seaman Lyman Silliker husband of Anna (McKibbon) Silliker of Strathadam occurred at the Miramichi Regional Hospital on Tuesday, December 2, 2003 at the age of 82. Born in Sillikers, NB, Seaman was the son of the late William and Armina (Matthews) Silliker. He was a Veteran of WW II and served overseas between 1942-1946 and was a retired carpenter. Seaman is survived by his wife Anna; two daughters; Margaret (Don Stewart) of South Esk, NB and Heather (Thomas O'Shea) of South Esk, NB; two sons; Terry (Daphne) of Salisbury, NB and Wayne (Joyce) of Strathadam, NB, four brothers, Danny (Ella), Spencer (Carmel), Sterling (Arlene) and Carmen (Ruth) all of Sillikers, NB; eight grandchildren, Jeffery, Ricky, Bradley, Andy, and Jeremy Silliker and Craig, MacCallum, Andrea Hallihan and Claudia Stewart; four great grandchildren; Jacinda, Hayley and Nichole Hillihan and Emma Silliker; sister-in-law Sarah of Toronto and several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by five brothers, Vincent, Willis, Ingram, Eldon and Roland. Family will receive family and friends at Bell's Funeral Home on Thursday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, December 5, 2003 at 10 A.M., from St. Mary's Roman Catholic Church with Father David Martin officiating. Burial will take place in the church cemetery later in the spring. For those who wish, memorial may be made to the Palliative Care Unit of the Miramichi Regional Hospital or to MS Society.
