Verna Mildred Miller

Verna Mildred Miller 1926-2003 Verna Mildred Miller, 77, of Archibald Street, Moncton died on December 6th at the Moncton Hospital as a result of complications after a courageous battle with cancer. Born in Osbourne Corner, June 18th, 1926 she was the youngest child of Cora (Butland) and Clarke Milton. She was a retired employee of Canada Post and was a life member of the Canadian Union of Postal Workers. She will be deeply missed by her sons, Alvin (Linda) Miller of Hillsborough and Lloyd Miller of Hamilton, Ontario. By her grandchildren Edward, Caitlin, and Charlene and by her great granddaughter Samantha. She is also survived by her brother Robert Milton of Weldon; sisters, Evelyn Steeves and Vera Lewis, both of Moncton; brothersin-law Kenneth Leeder of Barrie, Ont. and Lloyd Leeder of Bracebridge, Ont., and several nieces and nephews. In addition her parents she was predeceased by her husband Edward Eric Miller. At Verna's request, there will be no visitation. A committal service will be held at Fairhaven Memorial Gardens Wednesday, December 10th, 2003 at 11a.m. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Friends of the Moncton Hospital Foundation oncology department would be greatly appreciated by the family. Following the service, a time of fellowship and reflection for family and friends will be held at Verna's home.
