Eleanor Ernestine (Tenie) Pinette 1919 - 2003 REXTON, NB - Ernestine Pinette, 84, of Rexton, NB, passed away at the Stella Maris Hospital, Ste. Anne de Kent, on Sunday evening, December 7, 2003 after a lengthy illness. She had been a resident of the Rexton Lions Nursing Home as of September 10, 2003. Born in South Branch, NB on June 11, 1919, she was the daughter of the late Fred and Mary Hudson (McDonald). She attended St. Peter's Roman Catholic Church in South Branch. Prior to her marriage, she worked and lived in Big Cove with her aunt and uncle who were School Teachers, where she also did teaching. She enjoyed saying the rosary, collecting bells and knitting socks. She is survived by her husband of 57 years, Anthony Pinette; two sons, Francis (Rita) of Rexton, Lee (Juliette) of Richibucto; two daughters, Anita Vautour (Bernie), Main River and Maureen Wylie (Andy) of Rexton; ten grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren; two sisters, Frances Pinet-Cail, Emily Walls and one brother, Tommy Hudson; and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by six sisters and two brothers. Resting at Thompson's Funeral Home in Richibucto with visitation on Tuesday 7 to 9 pm and Wednesday 2 to 4 pm and 7to 9 pm and Thursday, 9am until funeral on Thursday at 11:00 am at the Immaculate Conception Roman Catholic Church in Rexton. Prayer vigil will be held at 3:30 pm at the funeral home, Wednesday afternoon. Interment in the spring in the parish cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations to the CNIB would be appreciated by the family.
