Velma DeVarenne SAINT-PAUL DE KENT, NB - Velma DeVarenne, 65, wife of Clifford DeVarenne, of Saint-Paul de Kent, NB passed away at the Dr. G.L. Dumont Hospital, Moncton, NB on Tuesday, December 9, 2003 after a lengthy illness. Born in Saint-Paul de Kent, NB on February 22, 1938 she was a daughter of the late Jean-Baptiste Richard and Jeanne Landry. She was a housewife. She attended Saint-Paul Roman Catholic Church and was a member of the Saint-Paul de Kent Golden Age Club. She is survived by her husband, Clifford DeVarenne; one daughter, Claudette Melanson (Elmo) of Dieppe; two sons, Eugène (Linda) of Saint-Paul de Kent, Michel (Louise) of Bouctouche; four sisters, Lucie Blacquière (Lewis), Bertha Maltais both of Moncton, Marie Comeau (Alban) of Dieppe, Bernice Richard of ON; three brothers, André (Antoinette), Cléo (Claudia) both of Saint-Charles, Jean of ON; six grandchildren, Jérémie, Isabelle, Phillipe, Amélie, Karine, Emma; several nephews and nieces. Resting at Saint-Paul de Kent Roman Catholic Church Slumber Room with visitation on Thursday, December 11 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm and Friday from 9 to 10:45 am. The Funeral Service will be held at Saint-Paul de Kent Roman Catholic Church on Friday, December 12, 2003 at 11:00 am. Interment will take place in the Parish Cemetery. Arrangements in care of Maillet Funeral Home, Bouctouche.
