Florence DesRoches 1918 - 2003 ROGERSVILLE, NB - At the Miramichi Regional Hospital, on Sunday, December 7, 2003, at the age of 85, passed away Florence (born Boucher) DesRoches, wife of the late Emmanuel DesRoches (1984), from Collette. Born May 5, 1918, she was the daughter of the late Albert Boucher and the late Annie Meunier, adopted daughter of the late Peter Herrell and the late Zelica LeBlanc. She leaves to mourn her, her beloved children, Joanne (Roland) Leger, from St-Louis de Kent, Rheal (Irene) DesRoches, of Collette, Sr. Jacqueline DesRoches f.j. of Moncton, Marion (late Thomas) Collins, of Boston, Ma., Norma (Yvon) Doucet, of Collette, Leo (Odette) DesRoches, of St-Louis de Kent, Melva (Elmer) Aucoin of Rogersville, Doris (Arnel) Martin, of Rogersville, Francis (Flora) DesRoches, of Collette, Guilda (Joe) Cawley, of Moncton, Ghislaine (Claude) Richard, of Rogersville, Rejeanne (late Vaughan) Gaudet, Laurie (Eva) DesRoches, both of Memramcook, Roberte DesRoches, of Moncton, Reynald (Suzanne) DesRoches, of Memramcook, Marilla (Alex) Bourque, of Collette, also a special friend of the family, Helena Bourgeois of Moncton; 39 grandchildren and 36 great grandchildren; one sister, Marquerite Arseneau; her sisters-in-law, Maggie Gallant, Alma Poirier, Adeline Barrieau from Le Foyer L'Assomption and Lorraine DesRoches from Rogersville, Sr. Jacqueline DesRoches r.h.s.j. from StCatherine, Ont., as well as by many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by one daughter, Linda (Roger) Doucet (1963), one daughter at birth, Mona (1964); as well as two sons at birth, Joseph (1942) and Ola (1960); one grand daughter, Cary (Luc) Martin (March 2003) and their son Clayton James (March 2003); two sisters, Phoebe and Judith, as well as three brothers, Albert and Alyre Boucher and Leo Herrell (late Lea). Mrs. DesRoches was an active member of La Legion de Marie de Collette, she was cheftaine for the Girl Guides for the Collette Parish and also did volunteer work for her community for many years. "Florence was and will continue to be an inspiration to her family that she loved dearly and for all the persons who had the privilege to know her" . The family will receive visitors on Tuesday from 2 to 4 pm and 7 to 9 pm and also on Wednesday from 2 pm until time of departure at La Colombe in Rogersville. The funeral service will be held at the Notre-Dame de Fatima Church in Collette, on Wednesday, December 10, at 4 pm. The funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the professional of La Colombe Itee de Tracadie-Sheila.
