Launa Chappell TIMBER RIVER, NB - The death of Launa Chappell, age 72, of Timber River, NB, wife of Vincent Chappell, occurred at The Moncton City Hospital on Sunday, December 14, 2003, following a courageous battle with cancer. Born in Timber River, she was a daughter of the late Fred and Bessie (Trenholm) Ogden, she was formerly employed with the Port Elgin Pharmacy for 28 years. Launa was a member of the Trinity United Church, Port Elgin and former church secretary. Launa will be sadly missed by her husband, Vincent, Timber River; a son, Terry (Lori), Timber River; two daughters, Barbara (Brian) Tower, Riverview and Patti (Steven) Reade, Upper Cape; a sister, Marie (Gerald) Ogden, Lower Sackville, NS; ten grandchildren and one great grandson, as well as a special niece, Pat Blayney and special cousin and friend, Dorothy Trenholm, Dartmouth. The remains have been forwarded for cremation. A time of visitation will be held at the Jones Funeral Home, 3 W Main Street, Port Elgin (364-1300) on Tuesday evening from 7 to 9 pm. A memorial service will be held at the Trinity United Church, Port Elgin on Wednesday, December 17, 2003 at 2 pm, Rev. Jay Ettinger officiating.
