Thelma Mary McCourt

Thelma Mary McCourt 1908 - 2003 Thelma M. McCourt, 95, formerly of Cameron St., Moncton, passed away at Queen of Peace Home, Champlain St. in Dieppe on Wednesday, December 24, 2003. Born in Harcourt, NB on July 13, 1908 she was the daughter of the late James and Mary (Fahey) McCourt. Prior to her marriage, Thelma was employed as a Legal Secretary and following her marriage she had worked at the T. Eaton Co. She was a member of St. Bernard's Roman Catholic Church and was a former member of the CWL. She is survived by her son; Bernard "Bernie" M. McCourt of Moncton with whom she had resided before moving to Dieppe and by several cousins. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, William McCourt in April 1996; by her son, Paul McCourt in 1993 and by a sister, Bessie and by four brothers; Tom, Ernest, Harry and Fred Fahey. Visitation is at Tuttle Bros. Funeral Home, 171 Lutz St., Moncton on Friday, December 26, 2003 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. The Funeral Mass will be held at St. Bernard's Roman Catholic Church Botsford St., Moncton on Saturday, December 27, 2003 at 10:00 am with Father Bernard Sloan officiating. Interment will be in Our Lady of Calvary Roman Catholic Cemetery, Dieppe in the spring. Donations made to the charity of the donor's choice would be appreciated by her family.
