Lorraine Maillet (Gallant) SHEDIAC RIVER, NB - Lorraine Maillet (Gallant), 75, wife of Jean Maillet, of Shediac River, NB, passed away at the Dr. George L Dumont Hospital, Friday, December 26, 2003 after a lengthy illness. Born March 25, 1928 in GrandeDigue, NB, she was the daughter of the late Victor Gallant and Aurore Babineau. She was a housewife and attended La Visitation Roman Catholic Church, Grande-Digue, NB. She was a member of the Golden Age Club, Dames Chrétiennes de Grande-Digue, member of the dance committees of Grande-Digue, membre de Groupe Support Au Seuil de l'Espoire. She is survived by husband, Jean Maillet; one daughter, Ginette Brine (Gilles), Shediac River; four sons, Paul Maillet (Janice), Shelbyville, TN, Roger Maillet (Claudette), Shediac River, Antoine Maillet (Anne), New Ipswich, NH, Fernand Maillet (Marguerite), Shediac River; two sisters, Simonne Chiasson (Gerard), Rogersville, Florine Landry (Late Raymond), Shediac; three brothers, Joseph Gallant (Geneva), Moncton, Emile Gallant (Emma), Dieppe, Jean Gallant (Patricia), Leominster, MA; 13 grandchildren; three great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her brother, Antoine. Resting at Passage Funeral Cooperative, 3754 Rte 134, Shediac Bridge, 532-1050, with visitation Sunday, December 28, 2003 from 2 to 4pm and 7 to 9pm and Monday, December 29, 2003, 5:30pm until time of departure. The Funeral Service will be held at La Visitation Roman Catholic Church, Grande-Digue, Monday, December 29, 2003 at 7pm with interment in the Parish Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated by the family.
