Ayesha A. (Hallett) Hawkins DOUGLAS, NB - At Pine Grove Nursing Home on Tuesday, January 6, 2004, Ayesha A. (Hallett) Hawkins of Douglas, NB passed away. Born in Douglas, she was the daughter of the late Clowes and Alice (Heine) Hallett and wife of the late Earle Emerson Hawkins. Ayesha worked as a hairdresser by trade and operated her own business from her home for many years. She was a member of the Douglas United Baptist Church. She is survived by two sons, Preston and his wife Sandra of Douglas and their children, Andrea Child and Leanne Perrin; and Russell and his wife Elizabeth ("Liz") of Pointe du Chne and their children, Jennifer Hawkins, Jaime Hawkins, and Jennifer Gerrior. She is also survived by great grandchildren Alysha and Matthew, MacLean and Madison, and Taylor and Zachary; brothers, Marquis and Dean; sisters Evelyn Leike and Winnifred Craighead; as well as several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband Earle; and by brothers, Eulas, Theodore, and Richard. There will be no visitation by request. A memorial service will be held on Friday, January 9, 2004 at 1:00 PM from the Douglas Baptist Church, with Rev. Jerry Horsman officiating. Interment will be held at a later date. A reception will follow the funeral service in the fellowship hall of the church. For those who wish, remembrances to any charity of the donor's choice would be appreciated by the family.
