Stanley Burton White ST. GEORGE, NB - Peacefully, at his residence, and following a lengthy illness, on January 14, 2004, Mr. Stanley Burton White, husband of Nadine Frances (Stoddard) White of St. George, N.B. Born in St. George, NB on July 1, 1914, he was a son of the late Welcome S. and Susie (Trynor) White. Stanley had been employed as a woodsman for many years and also worked with the Department of Highways as a Highway Foreman for eight years prior to his retirement. He served in WWII with the Royal Canadian Airforce in Newfoundland. A loving husband, father and grandfather, besides his wife, he is survived by one daughter, Shelia (Donald) Goss of Scoudouc Road, NB; three stepsons, Leonard (Nancy) Cooke, Davis (Juanita) Cooke, and Ross (Eva) Cooke, all of Utopia, NB; five grandchildren, Randy (Theresa) Goss of Scoudouc Road, NB, Wendy (James) Robinson of Riverview, NB, Holly Goss of Scoudouc Road, NB, Heather Goss of Saint John, NB and Bonnie (Arnold) Englehutt of Digby, NS; as well as several other grandchildren; great- grandchildren; nieces, nephews and cousins. Stanley was the last member of his immediate family. He was predeceased by one brother, Kenneth White; and two sisters, Marion McNutt and Caryl Goodwin. Resting at the St. George Funeral Home, (755-3533), 26 Portage Street, St. George, NB with visiting on Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. The service will be held from The Gary E. Waycott Memorial Chapel at the funeral home, on Saturday at 1 pm. In Stanley's memory, donations to the Charlotte County Cancer Society or a charity of the donor's choice would be appreciated by the family. www.stgeorgefh.ca
