Passed away suddenly on February 20th, 2009, at the Health Sciences Complex, Joseph LeBlanc, age 71 years. Predeceased by his wife Barbara (2003), and father Corey. Leaving to mourn his loving mother Dorilla and devoted daughter Angela, loving son Darin (Danyelle), adoring grandchildren: Mackenzie and Joel; brothers: Camille (Cécile) of Chicago, IL., Leo (Louise), Elzéar, Lionel (Murrielle) of Edmundston, N.B., and Don of Calgary, AB.; sisters: Emelicé Gauthier (Charlie) of Edmundston, N.B., Leona Lavoie (Raymond) of Edmundston, N.B., Charlene Michaud of Edmundston, N.B., Rina LeBlanc of Montreal, P.Q.; brothers-in-law: Stanley Rice of Grand Falls-Windsor, N.L., Bob Lane (Elizabeth) of St. John’s, N.L., sister-in-law June Carnahan (Doug Allen) of Alliston, O.N., and special friends Pauline and Jack Lewis of Grand Falls-Windsor, Nicole Rice of Grand Falls-Windsor and Benneth Latham and family of Mt. Pearl, N.L.; also a large number of relatives and special friends. Thanks also to the Mahaney family of Harbour Grace, as well as the Lane family of St. John’s for their support during this difficult time. Joseph is well known for volunteer work with the Senior’s Resource Centre, the Cancer Clinic and the Food Banks. Resting at Barrett’s Funeral Home, 328 Hamilton Avenue on Monday, February 23rd, 2009 from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. and on Tuesday, February 24th, 2009 from 10 a.m. to 12 noon and 2 to 4 p.m. Funeral service to be held from Mary Queen of Peace Parish on Wednesday, February 25th, 2009 at 2 p.m. Interment to follow at the Anglican Cemetery, Forest Road. As an expression of sympathy flowers gratefully accepted or donations in his memory may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation. A special thanks to the doctors and nurses at the Cardiac Cath.
