Marguerite Poirier ST. LOUIS DE KENT, NB - At the Villa Maria Nursing Home, in St. Louis de Kent, Wednesday, January 14, 2004, Marguerite (Daigle) Poirier, wife of the late Maxine Poirier of Acadieville, passed away at the age of 84. Born on April 3, 1919, she was the daughter of the late Simon Daigle and the late Marguerite Barrieau and the adoptive daughter of the late Jaddus Daigle and Eugenie LeBlanc. She is survived by her eight daughters, Eugenie Babineau (late Yvon) of Alliston, Ont., Geraldine Poirier (Bob Gurlitz), Ginette Poirier both of Toronto, Ont., Angele Arsenault (Martin) of Bonaventure, Que., Alma Babin (Martin) of St. Louis de Kent, Alice Richard (Eldonia), Simonne Caissie (late Medric), Yolande Poirier (Roger Vautour); one son, Fernand (Gilberte Boucher) all of Acadieville; 24 grandchildren and 29 great grandchildren. She is also survived by her brothers, Arsene (Rita) and Fidele (late Therese); her sisters, Ludivine Richard (late Emile), Roseline Babineau (Emile), Irene Nowlan (Firmin) and Imelda Daigle (Lionel Raymond); and adoptive brothers, Lazare (Jeanette), Eloi (Alice) and Yvon (Irene); her adoptive sisters, Marie (late Osias) Thebeau. Mme Poirier has also suffered through the loss of loved ones, one son, Gerard; one daughter, Simonne; brother's, Emile, Joseph (Eveline), Nazaire (late Nora); one sister, Yvonne (late Francois Xavier) Richard; adoptive sisters, Lea (Louis-Emile) Gallant and Cecile (Alyre) Richard. The family will receive relatives and friends at Immaculee Conception Roman Catholic Church Slumber Room in Acadieville on Saturday, January 17, 2004 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm and on Sunday, January 18, 2004 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, January 19, 2004 from the Immaculee Conception Roman Catholic Church in Acadieville at 11 am with Father Denis Belliveau officiating.
