Edgar J. "Cougar" LeBlanc 1929-2004 GRAND-BARACHOIS, NB - Edgar J. "Cougar" LeBlanc, 74, of Grand-Barachois and formerly of John St., Moncton passed away on Friday, January 16, 2004 at the Dr. Georges-L. Dumont Regional Hospital. Born in Moncton, November 12, 1929, he was the son of the late Prémélite LeBlanc and the late Ida Cormier. He was a past employee with Apex Machine Works in Moncton for over 25 years. He was a 3rd degree member of the Knights of Columbus and a member of the Golden Age Club in Grand-Barachois. He is survived by his four daughters, Elizabeth "Betty" Vautour (Denis) of Dieppe, Joanne Thibodeau (Ronald) of Grand-Barachois, Sharon LeBlanc (Rodney Richard) of Scoudouc, Nancy LeBlanc (Gerry) of Cormier Village; two sisters, Rita Comeau (Claude) and Gloria Arsenault all of Moncton; one brother, Alfred LeBlanc (Stella) of Windsor Locks, Conn.; and six grandchildren, Ronnie Jr., Mélanie, Marc, Danielle, Michelle, Janelle. He was predeceased by his wife Lorraine (Gallant) LeBlanc in 1981 and three sisters, Yvonne Langis, Alfreda LeBlanc, Lina Cormier and a brother Néri LeBlanc. Resting at Frenette Funeral Home Ltd., 396 Main St., Shediac (532-3297) with visitation on Sunday from 2 to 4p.m. and 7 to 9p.m. and Monday from 9:30a.m. until time of departure at 10:10a.m. The funeral mass will be held at 10:30a.m. on Monday, January 19, 2004 at St. Henri Roman Catholic Church in Grand-Barachois. Interment in Our Lady of Calvary Roman Catholic Cemetery, Dieppe. Donations in his memory may be made to the Oncology Center of the Dr. Georges-L.
