Margaret E. Hicks WATERBOROUGH, NB - Margaret Elizabeth Hicks, 69, of Waterborough and formerly Moncton passed away Friday, January 16, 2004 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born at Lowell Mass. she was a daughter of Florence (Henry) Coates and the late Ward Coates. Margaret retired as Mortgage Manager with Royal Trust in Moncton. She was an active member of First Cambridge Baptist Church were she belonged to the W.M.S., sang in the choir and played piano. She was a former member of the Allison Baptist Church in Moncton. In retirement Margaret made the most of every day keeping busy with her writing, painting, traveling, music and enjoying the outdoors especially in her garden. She will be sadly missed by her mother, Florence Coates of Petitcodiac; her beloved husband of 53 years, Alan; daughter, Judith E. Hicks of Riverview; sisters, Edith Forestell (Michael) of Toronto, Mildred Keith (Ralph) of Lower Ridge, Anne Coates of Summerside and Janet Coates-Mason of Petitcodiac and by several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by a daughter, Sheila Hicks and two brothers, Jamie and Daniel. Resting at the Havelock Funeral Parlour, 19 Cross Street (534-2600) with visiting hours Monday 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. The Funeral will be held from the First Cambridge Baptist Church on Tuesday, January 20, 2004 at 4 p.m. with Pastor Philip Penny officiating.
