David R. Carter LANGDON, AB - David (Dave) R. Carter, 44, of Langdon, AB and formerly of Riverview passed away at his residence on Monday, January 19, 2004 after a brief and courageous battle with cancer. Born in Riverview, son of Wes and Gwen (Howlett) Carter of Riverview. Dave was an employee of Crown, Cork and Seal of Calgary with several years service. Dave was an avid hockey player and fan in past years and one of his biggest enjoyments was playing hockey with his sons. Besides his parents, Dave will be sadly missed by his wife, Judy; his children, Nik, Liam, Jacinda and Alanna; brothers, Robbie (Stacy), Jamie (Kim), Greg, Riverview, Jeff (Lisa), Moncton; several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins. Predeceased by his maternal grandparents, Philip and Charlotte Howlett; paternal grandparents, James and Pearl Carter; nephew, Jason Carter. A celebration of Dave's life will be held at Mountain View Funeral Home, Calgary, Thursday, January 22, 2004, 10am. A memorial service will be held at Ferguson Knowles Funeral Home Chapel, Wednesday, January 28, 2004 at 11:00 am, Rev. Harold MacDonald officiating. Reception following the service.
